An optometrist based in Cardiff has been erased from the General Optical Council’s (GOC) register and is no longer able to practise as an optometrist in the UK.

The decision was taken in relation to Kumar dishonestly submitting documents in 2012 to Swindon County Court that inaccurately represented the signature of a witness.
In 2018, Kumar also attempted to persuade the witness in GOC fitness to practise proceedings against him to not give evidence or to influence the evidence given.
